Humanitarian Assistance Disaster Response

Since 2010 San Francisco Fleet Week has been the venue for Bay Area First Responders and the U.S. Military to meet, train together and discuss the latest lessons learned from recent Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response operations.

All of these activities help raise awareness and better equip the Bay area to cope with future disasters.

Thursday September 8th

• Table Top Exercise at Marines' Memorial Club (invitation only)
  

Thursday October 6th

• Senior Leader's Seminar aboard LHD (invitation only) Social Media in Disasters Panel, Private Sector Roles in Disasters, US Military HADR for Japan Earthquake, Governor Haley Barbour Address on Roles of Public Officials.
  

Friday October 7th

• Urban Search and Rescue Training with SFFD, Sailors and Marines
  

• Community Outreach/COMREL events with Sailors and Marines
  

• NERT/CERT/CORE event onboard LHD
  

Saturday October 8th

• Humanitarian Assistance Disaster Response Static Display on Marina Green (9:00 am - 5:00 pm)
  

Sunday October 9th

• Humanitarian Assistance Disaster Response Static Display on Marina Green (9:00 am - 5:00 pm)
