The 3rd Annual Fleet Week High School Band Challenge will be held on October 8th 2012.

The 3rd Annual San Francisco High School Band Challenge will be a day to remember for many high school students, parents, teachers, and San Franciscans. Competitive high school bands from all over the Bay area will come together to compete. The 1st Marine Division Band from Camp Pendleton, California, will be the headliner, uniforms and all.
Each school will have fifteen minutes to play their choice of music. The schools will be graded on a myriad of criteria by three professional judges.  Following the high school bands will be the 1st Marine Division Band whom will play select music from their repertoire. The final music portion, affectionately known as the "Grand Finale," will put all six schools and the Marine Corps band together on the band stand and play "Stars and Stripes Forever."

This event will be at the Band Shell at Golden Gate Park directly across from the De Young Museum, beginning at 10 am and ending at approximately 4 pm.

Fleet Week will continue to support our local students, schools, and cities. We look forward to seeing you there!
